Sandra, a visionary woman entrepreneur, established her honey business in 2017 and formally registered it with URSB in 2019. Located in Central Uganda, the business has grown into a reputable enterprise engaged in beekeeping, honey production, processing, packaging, and distribution.

Since inception, Sandra had steadily invested in her company moving from manual production processes to semi-mechanized operations with equipment such as honey creamers, filtering tanks, settling tanks, heating tanks, and propolis extractors. This progress improved production efficiency and positioned the business to serve a widening market.

Despite these advancements, one critical challenge remained. The honey pressing machine in use was small, which limited the company’s production capacity and made it difficult to meet the growing demand from new supermarkets and distributors. This bottleneck threatened turnaround time, quality consistency, and the ability to seize new market opportunities.

In June 2025, Sandra turned to Mango Fund for support, and through our partnership she was able to acquire a larger-capacity honey pressing machine.

This investment will enable Sandra’s company to streamline honey pressing operations, boost production capacity, and eliminate inefficiencies caused by the outdated machine. With our support, Sandra’s company will be able to meet rising market demand, achieve faster turnaround times, and strengthen its competitiveness both locally and across border markets.
