Dr. Oling Surgery Medical Centre
Dr. Oling, a highly skilled Ugandan surgical specialist, founded his medical centre in 2021 with a vision to provide specialized surgical and primary healthcare services to communities across Kampala and its surrounding areas. Starting modestly, he steadily invested in modern medical equipment and recruited qualified healthcare professionals, transforming the facility into a reputable specialized medical centre offering comprehensive healthcare services under one roof.
Today, the centre provides a broad range of services including laparoscopic surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, laboratory investigations, emergency care, and intensive care services. Through these services, the facility conducts an average of 40 surgeries and treats more than 500 patients every month, serving communities across Kampala and neighboring regions.
As the facility expanded, one critical operational challenge emerged. The centre’s X-ray machine became non-operational, significantly affecting service delivery, particularly within the orthopedic department where imaging is essential for diagnosis and treatment. As a result, patients had to be referred to other facilities for imaging services, causing delays, inconveniences, and interruptions in continuity of care.
In 2026, Dr. Oling partnered with Mango Fund to finance the acquisition of a modern 3D X-ray machine.
This investment will:
• Strengthen radiology services across multiple departments
• Improve diagnostic efficiency and accuracy
• Reduce patient referrals and delays in treatment
• Enhance patient experience and continuity of care
• Reinforce the centre’s position as a leading specialized surgical facility in Kampala and neighboring regions
With this upgrade, the medical centre is well positioned to provide faster and more reliable diagnostics, improve patient outcomes, and expand its impact in specialized healthcare delivery.
