A pharmacist by profession, Dr. Christopher envisioned a Medical Centre as a beacon of healthcare excellence for the people of Northern Uganda. Starting in 2019 with a small clinic and pharmacy, the center has grown remarkably into a fully registered and accredited facility by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council. It now serves as a comprehensive medical provider, offering a range of services such as diagnostics, maternity care, and specialized treatments like oncology and healthcare education.

Mango Fund’s partnership with Dr. Christopher began in 2022, enabling the acquisition of critical equipment such as a digital X-ray machine with a CR system and a blood culture analyzer. These investments have greatly improved the center’s diagnostic and treatment capabilities, directly benefiting patients in the region.

In 2024, Mango Fund supported the acquisition of a mammography machine, addressing the region’s pressing need for accessible cancer diagnostics. This addition reduced cancer screening costs significantly and made high-quality care more accessible. With these advancements, the Medical Centre has enhanced service delivery and improved livelihoods within the community by offering affordable, quality healthcare.
