Dr. Dasan, the entrepreneur behind a well-established medical center, that started its operations in January 2019 with the goal of providing high-quality healthcare services to the community in central Uganda. Over the past few years, the medical center has made remarkable progress, expanding its services to meet the growing demand for healthcare in the region. However, despite being the preferred healthcare provider in the area, the center still refers patients needing X-ray services to Mengo or Rubaga hospitals, which not only inconveniences patients but also results in lost income for the facility.

To address this issue, in 2024, Dr. Dasan approached Mango Fund for an investment to acquire a digital 5D X-ray machine with a printer. This advanced equipment has enhanced the medical center’s diagnostic capabilities by enabling it to diagnose a wide range of medical conditions, including bone fractures, tumors, abnormal masses, pneumonia, and dental problems. With the new machine, the center is now able to offer on-site X-ray services, improving patient care and convenience.

The investment has already created impact for the business and enabled them to adequately serve the varying medical needs of the community. This has not only increased patient visits but also improved the overall quality and efficiency of services, leading to higher revenue and contributing to the medical center’s long-term growth.
