Mackline’s furniture company

Mackline is the owner of a fast-growing furniture company based in Western Uganda. Established in 2015, the business has built a reputation for crafting high-quality furniture. Specializing in African-themed, rustic, contemporary, classic, domestic, and commercial furniture, as well as school furniture. Her business has become a reliable name in the western region.

Beyond furniture, Mackline’s business has also ventured into interior designing, offering services ranging from sewing and installing curtains, crafting cushions and other decorative items and accessories. Despite its growing success, the company faced challenges due to an old wood ripping machine that frequently broke down due to the effects of worn-out blades. This inefficiency affected the production process, delaying customer orders and compromising the quality of finished products. The wood ripping machine, that is essential for cutting lumber into precise lengths and widths for joinery and symmetrical designs, became a major bottleneck in mackline’s operations.

Recognizing the need for a solution, in 2024, Mackline approached Mango Fund for an asset finance loan to purchase a new wood ripping machine. With this investment, the business has transformed its operations, significantly improving production efficiency and ensuring consistent quality in its products. The new machine streamlined the cutting process, enabling the company to meet its customer orders promptly and uphold its reputation for excellence.
