Manufacturing company by Frank and Harriet

Frank and Harriet are the entrepreneurs behind a stone processing, cutting, and designing company established in 2003. Strategically located in western Uganda, their business specializes in the production of various types of stone materials. These include stone gravel (aggregate) for road and building construction, as well as stone dust used in manufacturing pavers, blocks, road curbs, culverts, and fence poles. Additionally, they produce high-quality marble in pink, grey, reddish, and greenish varieties, commonly used for kitchen countertops, floor, and wall tiles in residential and commercial buildings.

Our partnership with Frank and Harriet dates back to 2020 when they first approached Mango Fund for an asset finance loan to acquire a multi-purpose wheel loader. Over the years, we have continued to support their business growth by financing the purchase of key assets, including a commercial crusher, an excavator, and a stone-cutting machine. These investments have significantly enhanced their production efficiency, increased revenue, and created employment opportunities.

However, in 2024, the company faced a major setback when their excavator was involved in a severe accident. The impact caused extensive damage to critical components, including the excavator’s long arm, several hydraulic parts, and the bucket. To restore operations and maintain their ability to supply construction materials, Frank and Harriet once again turned to Mango Fund for financial support.

With this investment, the company was able to purchase the necessary excavator components and resumed full-scale production. Mango Fund hopes to see them further enhance operational efficiency, maintain a steady supply of construction materials, and strengthen their market position.
